Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the soap cured for 4-6 weeks?
Curing allows the bar to fully harden and mellow, making it milder on skin and longer-lasting than soap rushed to shelf.
Is lye used in making this soap? Is that safe?
Yes — like all traditional cold-process soap, sodium hydroxide (lye) is used during saponification. None remains in the finished bar; it fully converts into soap and naturally occurring glycerin.
Is the colour/scent natural?
Yes — our products are made with naturally derived ingredients, and the colour and scent may come naturally from the ingredients used in each formulation. We do not use synthetic dyes or artificial fragrances. Since our products are handmade, slight variations in colour, texture, or scent between batches are completely normal and are a natural part of the process.
How often can I use it?
Our products are designed to be gentle enough for regular use. Depending on your skin type and the specific product, you can use it as part of your usual skincare routine. If you have sensitive or easily irritated skin, start with less frequent use and gradually increase as your skin gets comfortable.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, it's suitable for facial use. Avoid direct contact with eyes, and patch test first if your skin is easily reactive
How do I make the bar last longer?
Store it on a well-draining soap dish, away from standing water, between uses.
